Nottingham Forest have dismissed Nuno Espirito Santo three games into the new season after his relationship with owner Evangelos Marinakis collapsed. The fallout escalated following the June appointment of Edu as global head of football, which Nuno saw as a barrier. Despite leading Forest back into Europe, disagreements over recruitment and two public criticisms of the hierarchy sealed his fate. Ange Postecoglou is the frontrunner.
