Club By-Laws
1 Smoking is not allowed on the club premises.
2 Appropriate tennis shoes only to be worn on court, multi- stud football trainers or running style shoes are not allowed.
3 Members will wear the club issued tags on their shoes when playing tennis on court.
4 All visitors' names will be entered in the visitors' book by a member and fees collected by invoice anually.
5 If members are waiting to play, those members on court should come off at the end of their set(s).
6 The clubhouse will be kept clean and tidy at all times. All those making use of tea/coffee facilities will wash their used items before leaving the clubhouse.
7 The last person to come off the tennis club premises will ensure that the clubhouse and gate are secured. Also that the lights/electric plugs switched off. Any windows are also to be closed.
8 Members will report any misuse of the premises/facilities to a committee member without delay.
9 Bad language on the premises is not permitted.
10 Tennis balls are not to be removed from the premises unless authorised by a committee member.
11 Only 4 balls are allowed per court, unless being coached by the club coach.
12 Any balls knocked over the high fence must be retrieved unless the balls have entered the caretaker's garden.
13 Wet balls returned to the clubhouse must be placed in the racks provided.
14 Junior members are not allowed to bring in other junior visitors.
15 Parents/adults who wish to play but are not members and have a junior that is a member must either pay a visitor fee or elect to join the club after playing as a visitor twice.
16 Adult visitor fee for 2008/9 is £5 and refundable in the year of joining if membership is taken up.
17 Junior visitor fee for 2008/9 is £2 and refundable in the year of joining if membership is taken up.
18 Infringements of any of the tennis by-laws may mean an immediate ban from using the courts/clubhouse.
19 Anyone infringing the tennis by-laws may be excluded from membership after investigation and approval by the committee.
20 Dogs are not allowed onto club premises.
21 Any junior member under 13 years old must be accompanied by a parent or older member.
22. If a membership is cancelled during the year no refund will be given.
NB. These tennis by-laws are subordinate to the PLTC Constitution and Regulations, a copy of which is posted in the Clubhouse notice board.
